Temperance Lancecouncil’s Single, "My Restraining Order (Won't Do)"

Temperance Lancecouncil’s Single, "My Restraining Order (Won't Do)," Now Has Its Lyric Video, Ironically Dubbed ‘The Court Version’

If you want to steer clear of the court system, don't put your demons or your paws and claws on no country girl, cause we'll get a restraining order and if "My Restraining Order Won't Do," we'll call the pokey/pokey on you.

That is what "My Restraining Order (Won't Do)" by singer-songwriter Temperance Lancecouncil is about. While the lyrics concern a legal matter, the lyric video is an attempt to lighten the mood and the trauma behind the lyrics – done via the use of animation in the video.

Says the country-soul singer, “Sometimes you have to lighten up and laugh to keep from breaking and crying. Life can be rough and raw, and my style and delivery reflect that. Yet when you get right down to it, the message in the song is one of empowerment, or taking back one’s power, regardless of how life tries to knock you to your knees.”

She says she favors ‘The Court Version’ of the video. The song’s lyrics and the original video are also on YouTube, and Temperance Lancecouncil regularly posts on all social media sites.
