RICKY DURAN UNFOLDS A PART OF HIS STORY IN “WAITING ON YOU”

32 year-old Ricky Duran exhibits fearlessness and vulnerability with the release of, “Waiting On You.” The emotion-infused song captures Duran’s storytelling abilities that deals with the loss of his father to suicide in 2012.

Cause steel road rails and paper trails / Will lead me back to you

Through the rain and all the pain / You got to push on through

The song “deals with the effects that suicide has on the family members and friends who are left after,” said Ricky in an interview with Fox31 Denver. He hopes that this song will encourage loved one affected by suicide. Duran wanted to help raise awareness by releasing the song during Suicide Prevention Month and contributing 50% of the song sales to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Duran's heart for advocating for others is clearly shown in all of his music.
