Matt Oakley Brings the Party to Listeners in New Single

For Matt Oakley, "party" isn't just an event, it's a state of mind. In his newest single, "Party On 95", available everywhere on November 8, the singer celebrates what it means to enjoy the journey.

"Party on 95" is the successor to Oakley's most recent project, "Soldier's Son", an homage to those serving in the military. "Growing up I was surrounded by pictures, medals, ribbons and other memorabilia that he [Oakley's father] collected throughout his 22 years of service in the United States Army," states Oakley, remarking that the song "summarizes what it meant to be the son of a soldier, the things he taught me, and the gratitude I share for all that serve."

Switching gears from the somber tone of "Soldier's Son", Oakley's song "Party on 95" is a nod to the good times. "'Party on 95' is exactly what it sounds like," he states, "A road trip anthem I wrote about all the times me and my buddies packed up the truck to hit Florida for spring break. This song is about not waiting until you get to your location to start the party."
