Lola Young is Owning her Mess

24-year-old English singer-songwriter, Lola Young, is quickly gaining popularity with her relatable lyrics and palpably emotive voice. Young’s song “Messy” has been making the rounds on social media for the past few months. Released in May of 2024, “Messy” skyrocketed to global popularity by going viral on TikTok. The song, an anthem for anyone who’s ever hated their parents (or really anyone for that matter), has struck a chord in listeners all over the world. Lola's unique voice harnesses all the pain and frustration that comes from being constantly criticized for even existing.
