Music industry professional Ralston Wells/Six Senses Entertainment LLC, a publishing company known for coordinating and hosting songwriter rounds and other music events, is excited to launch HOOKS, LINES, RHYMES AND A MELODY, a new interactive audience participation songwriting show. Top songwriters will explain and demonstrate the songwriting process - what goes on in a “writing room” and how a song is created. The featured songwriters will take hooks, lines, rhymes, and melodies from the audience and create a song. With the help of the audience members, the songwriters will bring a song idea to life.

The first show of the series kicks off on Wednesday, Jan. 8th with Grammy-nominated hit-songwriter, Blue Foley (Ashley McBryde’s “Tired of Being Happy,” “Home Sweet Happy,” and Dirt Drifters’ “There She Goes”), Kayley Hill (The Voice Season 15, 2019), Dave Fenley (America’s Got Talent Season 8, 2013 and The Voice Season 15, 2019) from 1-3 p.m. at 3rd and Lindsley and will be a recurring event every Wednesday featuring 3 new songwriters.

During the show, featured writers will also perform their hit songs and explain in detail the stories behind their award-winning songs; where the ideas of the song came from, who contributed, how many sessions it took to complete the song, how they decided on the melody, etc. A pilot show was held just before the holidays with Blue Foley, Scott Lindsey, and Rhonda Funk and was a huge success.

Tickets for the January shows will be $8.00 in advance and $10.00 (cash only) at the door

. All guests will be asked to sign a release to enter and participate.

HOOKS, LINES, RHYMES AND A MELODY is hosted by music industry professional and Tennessee-native, Ralston Wells in conjunction with his entertainment company, Six Senses Entertainment, LLC. “With the growing interest in songwriting stemming from the hit show, 'NASHVILLE' and 'Songland,'people flock to Music City every day to take part in the ‘Nashville Experience,’” commented Ralston, the show creator and MTSU graduate. “The top-rated TV show, 'Songland,' and the addition of the upcoming show, 'The Song,' has fueled the fire and created an all-time high in those interested in how a song is created.” People can enjoy a cocktail on Broadway, catch songwriter shows all over town and visit the world-famous Ryman Auditorium, Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame, however, none of these venues offer an individual to be part of, experience and watch a song develop from an idea to a completed song. That is the concept behind HOOKS, LINES, RHYMES AND A MELODY. “It is an opportunity for a non-songwriter, a beginning songwriter or a tourist to be part of creating a song. Most of all, this is for fun and entertainment and taking 'the Nashville experience' to a different level. We want the audience to have a good time and to see and be part of a song as it is being written by top hit songwriters," added Ralson. Many invaluable tips will be provided to the aspiring writer during this event.

ABOUT BLUE FOLEY: Foley is a GRAMMY-nominated hit songwriter for Best Country Album of 2019 for the songs he co-wrote with Ashley McBryde (“They Are Tired Of Being Happy” and “Home Sweet Highway”) and for the work he did on her debut album Girl Going Nowhere. Foley is also currently nominated for an Australian “Golden Guitar” for best Traditional Country Album titled “Welcome To My Heart” with Australian artist Angus Gill. Co-written by Foley, the song became the title track for this up-and-coming Australian artist. His first single in 2008 with the band the Dirt Drifters at Warner Bros. ABOUT DAVE FENLEY: Dave Fenley has competed on both America's Got Talent and The Voice. On America’s Got Talent (Season 8), he made it to the semi-finals. On Season 15 of The Voice, Fenley selected Blake Shelton during the blind auditions. Fenley retained his spot on Blake’s team through both the battle and knockout rounds. Fenley has since shared the stage with musical royalty like Dwight Yoakam, Miranda Lambert, and Dierks Bentley. ABOUT KAYLEY HILL: Kayley Hill appeared on NBC's The Voice Season 15 in 2018. She auditioned with “Gold Dust Woman” by Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks. Her strong vocal prompted a quick chair turn from Blake Shelton. Grit, growl and a warm warble are terms Hill uses to describe her unique voice, and that sound translates to her attitude.
