Dierks Bentley's "Black"
Dierks Bentley’s 9th album released in May titled Black is thirteen tracks of pure gold, and Dierks has the music videos to prove it. He has released four short films for songs off of his album that tell a dark story in black and white that leaves you wanting more! We won’t give too much away, but if you haven’t already, check out the short story here.
Dierks Bentley has been one of country music’s most original artists since his first album in 2003, What Was I Thinking. Being able to write and record party anthems as well as serious storytelling songs is a tough act, and Dierks has mastered it.
The album includes his 14th No. 1 hit released in January, “Somewhere on a Beach,” which is the perfect anthem for summer. We love it when artists can sound different throughout an album, yet tie stories together. From serious to fun, Black has it all. The one-of-a-kind sound isn’t the only impressive attribute to his album though. Dierks has some collaboration with other talented artists. “I’ll be the Moon,” the first installment of the short film series, features country’s rising star Maren Morris. “Different for Girls” features Elle King, which has been a hit song on the radio since June.
You won’t be disappointed with this album. Dierks Bentley captures the meaning of a creative artist, and we love it!
