Kix Brooks Is Crankin’ Out A Cajun Cookbook

You may know him as the first half of one of Country music’s biggest duos of all time, but today he comes to us with a different flavor of his life. Kix Brooks is crankin’ out his very own down-home cookbook, based on his Louisiana heritage. This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, since Kix has been known to be a bit of a foodie; he actually had a show that aired on the Cooking Channel, “Steak Out With Kix Brooks,” where he travelled around the country to check out steakhouses in some of the country’s major cities.

Kix is crankin’ up the heat and kickin’ out some of his favorite personal recipes, based on his roots down in Shreveport, Louisiana. When asked about it, he said, “Whether you are getting ready for a backyard BBQ, planning a menu for Thanksgiving Dinner or want to cook up some fish you just pulled out of a stream, we have recipes for you. Before you know it, you’ll be cookin’ like a Cajun too!” We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty excited to sink our teeth into some of Kix’s cajun cookin’ when it comes out August 30th!
