“Is It You” lyric video premieres at Country Music Is Love

Days after wowing the crowds at CMA Music Festival during his Hard Rock Café stage set, soulful singer SAM GROW is welcoming a new audience as his single “Is It You” is selected for Sirius XM’s On The Horizon, spinning every weekend on The Highway. “Is It You” is written by Grow with Kyle Jacobs and Billy Montana and can be found on his self-titled EP, available at iTunes. The lyric video exclusively premiered this morning at Country Music Is Love to celebrate the release of his first single. The Mechanicsville, Maryland native has released two projects independently, selling more than 30,000 copies leading up to his introduction to a national audience on Sirius XM’s The Highway. Sam has grown a devoted following across the country, putting him on the road for more than 250 shows a year opening for acts like The Band Perry, Billy Currington, Brett Eldredge, Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts. And it can all be traced back to childhood trips with his father. "When I wanted to spend time with my dad we'd get in the truck and travel everywhere," says Sam, whose father J.R. was a lineman. "He worked on power lines for 31 years of his life. He always went where the storm was. On weekends, he’d drive out and make bids and I'd go with him. It was just him and me and the radio. His favorites were Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and George Jones; Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye and Elvis Presley. That's what really got me passionate about music."
