This Week’s Top Country Airplay Hits
This week’s number one song on the country charts is Joe Nichols’ “Yeah.”
This is Nichols’ second straight number one song on Billboard’s Nielsen BDS-based Country Airplay chart. Last week, “Yeah” came in at fifth place, making it the biggest leap to the top of the charts since Randy Houser’s “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” 5-1 climb on Aug. 10, 2013. This is Nichols’ fifth number one song.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill also made it to the top 10 with their duet “Meanwhile, Back at Mama’s.” This top 10 charting ties McGraw with Alan Jackson for second-most top-10 songs. It is McGraw’s 51st top 10 and Hill’s 23rd.
This week, Florida Georgia Line hit its highest starting ranking on Country Airplay with “Dirt.” The song reached number 16, which is also the highest launch for any song on the chart this year. The song is the first single off of Florida Georgia Line’s second studio album, which is set to release this fall.
